Becoming a Patient

We don't take on patients. We take on partners.

Getting well — truly well — requires more than a diagnosis and a prescription. It requires the right relationship between a patient and a practitioner. One built on trust, honesty, and a shared commitment to doing the work.

This is why we don't have an open-door scheduling policy. Every patient at de Vie Wellness goes through the same three-step process before their first appointment. Not because we want to make it difficult — but because we want to make sure that when you walk through the door, we are already prepared to help you. And that you are already prepared to be helped.

STEP 1

Tell us your story.

The process begins with a brief written application. This is your opportunity to share what has brought you here — your symptoms, your history, your diagnoses, what you have already tried, and what you are hoping for.

There are no wrong answers. We are not looking for a perfect patient history or a tidy diagnosis. We are looking for honesty, self-awareness, and a genuine readiness to engage with your health in a new way.

Applications are reviewed personally by our clinical team. We read every word.

What we're looking for:

  • A clear picture of your health history and current concerns

  • An honest assessment of your readiness to make changes

  • A sense of whether your needs align with what we do best

Timeframe: You will hear back within 7–10 business days of submitting your application.

Step 2

Let's make sure we're the right fit — for both of us.

If your application resonates with our clinical team, you will be invited to schedule a complimentary discovery call with Dr. Eickmeyer.

This is not a medical appointment. No diagnoses will be made, no protocols discussed. It is a conversation — an opportunity for us to learn more about you, answer your questions about the practice, and determine together whether this is the right partnership.

We believe that the relationship between a patient and a practitioner matters as much as the medicine itself. The discovery call is where we find out if we have that.

What to expect on the call:

  • A 20–30 minute conversation with Dr. Eickmeyer

  • Questions about your health history and goals

  • An honest discussion of what care at de Vie Wellness looks like

  • Time for your questions — we want you to interview us too

What this is not: This call is not a free consultation or a mini-appointment. It is a mutual evaluation. We are determining fit, not providing care.

Timeframe: Discovery calls are scheduled within 2–3 weeks of application approval.

Step 3

Invitation to Become a Patient

If the discovery call confirms that we are the right fit, you will receive a formal invitation to become a patient at de Vie Wellness.

From there, you will be guided through our onboarding process — intake paperwork, initial lab work if applicable, and scheduling of your first comprehensive appointment. This first visit is where we go deep. Your full history, your current picture, your goals, and the beginning of a plan built specifically for you.

This is where the real work begins. And we will be with you every step of the way.

What's included in your first appointment:

  • A comprehensive health intake — full history, timeline, and current concerns

  • Review of any existing labs, imaging, or prior records

  • An initial assessment and discussion of next steps

  • A clear sense of what working together will look like going forward

A note on what this is not: de Vie Wellness is a cash-pay practice. We do not bill insurance. We believe this model allows us to practice medicine the way it should be practiced — without the constraints of what insurance will or won't cover, and with the time each patient deserves. Pricing and membership details will be shared during the discovery call.

"The patients who get the most out of this practice are the ones who come in ready to be honest — about what they've tried, what hasn't worked, and what they're willing to do differently. That honesty is what makes everything else possible.""

— DR. BRIANNA EICKMEYER

Not sure if you're ready?

That’s okay. Readiness looks different for everyone. If you are still exploring, the best place to start is the newsletter — where we share honest health education, updates on the practice, and everything we are building.

When you are ready to take the next step, the application will be here.
